Inland Earns "A" for Safety

Release Date: 11/01/2017

Once again, Inland has earned an “A” rating in the bi-annual Leapfrog Group patient safety survey. Inland is among only 59 hospitals in the nation (of 2,632 surveyed) to achieve straight A’s in the survey since it started in 2012.
The Leapfrog Group created the Hospital Safety Grade to assess hospital safety and encourage patients to choose a facility accordingly. Safety grades are released annually in April and updated in October as hospitals report newer data. The grades are based on 30 performance metrics, including use of computerized physician order entry, a patient’s perception of information communicated by doctors and nurses (from H-CAHPS survey), and infection rates.
Inland Hospital President John Dalton notes, “We are very proud to have been recognized for straight A’s six years in a row. I am extremely proud of our staff and providers who make it their mission every day to care for and serve our community with skill and genuine compassion.”
