Inland Thanks Nurse for 51 Years

Release Date: 10/06/2017

With lots of hugs, some tears, and plenty of stories, Inland Hospital celebrated retiring nurse, Carole Boardman, RN yesterday at a special event. Carole, affectionately called "Mother" Boardman, dedicated 51 years to Inland, 40 as a nurse supervisor. She graduated from the Mercy Hospital Nursing School in Portland.

Carole is well known for being one of the best nurses at starting an IV, and everyone appreciates her deeply caring nature.

Carole says she's going to sorely miss the people at Inland, all of whom have become her second family. She's worried that her car might automatically drive her to Inland every day! She looks forward to spending more time with her family, and taking up yoga.

It certainly won't be the same here without you Carole! Thank you for five decades of compassionate care, for being a wonderful role model for hundreds of nurses along the way, and for always putting Inland patients first with your skill, humor, and dedication! You will be missed.
