Inland celebrated the hospital’s first Leap Year baby. On February 29, Anthony Garrett was born at 8am to Lisa McWhorter and Ken Crader of Oakland. He weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces and was 21 inches long. Anthony is the couple’s second son.

The proud father noted, “It’s fun to have a Leap Year baby. He will still have a birthday party every year, but he will definitely get an extra special celebration every four years!” Inland also welcomed two other Leap Year babies on February 29: Naima born to Alicia Bailey from Knox and Deontay born to Kylie Martin and Richard Hastings-Hammack from Waterville.
