Inland Hospital’s Clinical Excellence

Inland Hospital has announced its Clinical Excellence Awards for 2013. The awards are an Inland tradition that celebrates and recognizes the work and talents of the finest professional clinical staff at the hospital. Nominations for the Clinical Excellence Award come from peers and winners are chosen for their clinical competency and excellence in customer service. This year’s Clinical Excellence Award winner is Don Goodale, Echocardiography Team Leader at Heart First Diagnostics. Tiffany Toulouse, a registered nurse in the Emergency Department is the winner of the Nursing Clinical Excellence Award.
 
Goodale has been with Inland since 2008 and is from Benton. He is professional, compassionate and kind. He has exceptional clinical skills and was instrumental in Heart First obtaining echocardiography accreditation. Inland is one of only a few hospitals in Maine to have achieved this status of clinical excellence.
 
Toulouse has been with Inland for seven years. She is well respected for her ability to calm patients and make them feel safe, regardless of the circumstances that brought them to the ER. Tiffany’s clinical and critical thinking skills are exceptional and she is always seeking ways to improve. 
 
Other nominees for the awards included: Yvette Bernier, Michelle Dessent, Tara Elliott, Sonya Frost, Valerie Gilbert, Lynne Gray, Diane Hartwell, Brenda Holcomb, Cathy Russell and Deborah Testa.
