The Waterville Rotary Club is proud to show its support for Inland Hospital’s Focusing On Your Future Capital Campaign by donating $18,000 from the proceeds of its biggest fundraiser, the Annual Radio Auction.  At its regular weekly meeting on March 4, the Waterville Rotary Club presented a check to Inland Hospital’s President/CEO, John Dalton, and Charlie Gaunce, Capital Campaign Chair, Inland honorary Trustee, and a 50-year Rotarian and past President.

The Waterville Rotary Club contributed to the $5.5 million project which is currently underway at the hospital on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville. The modernization project is consolidating the intensive care and medical-surgical units, converting semi-private rooms to private inpatient rooms, and redesigning the unit layout for increased efficiencies. According to Suzanne Uhl-Melanson, Waterville Rotary Club President, “It is clear that Inland is committed to improving healthcare services and patient care, with an emphasis on safety, new technology and increasing time caregivers spend at the bedside.”

At the check presentation, Dalton thanked Rotary members and the people of the region for the generous gift to the Hospital’s campaign. “We are grateful to have a community so interested and involved in the future of healthcare in Waterville.”
