At Inland, our vision is to be a dynamic community hospital where patients receive the right care, are treated with respect, and are always safe. Because your health and safety are so important to us, Inland is participating in a state and national patient safety program to reduce the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria like MRSA which can cause serious infections. MRSA stands for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus.
To better understand the effects of MRSA on our population, starting January 4, 2010 the state will require all hospitals to perform targeted screenings for MRSA on high-risk patients. Inland will begin screening all patients who are admitted for an overnight stay.
Please feel free to ask our staff questions about this screening program. Together we can achieve the safest care possible. View our screening program brochure here.
