Inland Hospital has honored Charlie Gaunce, Waterville businessman and long-time Inland trustee, for 47 years of service to the hospital and Inland Foundation boards. Gaunce received the recognition at Inland’s Annual Meeting on January 28.
Gaunce is retiring as the Inland Foundation board chair this year, but has been approved as an honorary Inland board member for life. He already holds the prestigious title of Inland “Legend” – the organization’s highest honor, awarded in 2003.
“Charlie’s leadership and guidance have played an important role in the hospital’s success,” says John Dalton, Inland Hospital President and CEO. “We are grateful he has committed so many years to help Inland become the vital community asset it is today.”
Gaunce was among eight other former Inland board chairs who attended the hospital’s Annual Meeting in Waterville last month. Pictured front row, left to right are: Nat Cobb; Kathy Corey; Sandy Day.
