ACE inhibitor (or ARB) for LVSD - Graph and Details

ACEI (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor) or ARBs (angiotensin receptor blocker) reduce blood pressure, strengthen the heartbeat and reduce the work load of the heart for patients in whom the left ventricle does not function optimally. If not treated, this left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSD) can increase the risk of heart attack.
